About Heisenberg Kennels
It all began with the re-training and re-homing of crossbred dogs from the pound. This provided experience in handling a wide variety of breeds and temperaments and in turn sparked my interest in the German
Shepherd breed.
Later, I was fortunate to be able to spend time observing and assisting a well respected Dog Trainer where my interest in the German Shepherd breed was furthered. I started to supply trained dogs for family pets, home security and for commercial security businesses, and bred my first "show line" German Shepherd litter in 1994.

I was finding it difficult to source adult dogs with the right drives and temperament, so in 2002, I imported my first "working line" bitch from Belgium. Another two imports were to follow soon after and several collections
of Frozen Semen.
These "working line" dogs are not bred for the show ring and in general don't have the slope in the hind quarters that the current show dogs have today. Their colour too, is more likely to be dark sable,
black or black and tan and not the usual black and golds that we have become accustomed too seeing. They are primarily used for working purposes but can just as easily fit into a family type situation.
